Karres en Brands is selected to develop the area vision for the southwest region of Kampen. The municipality of Kampen and Consortium De Dijken BV are working together to accelerate the housing development in Kampen by realizing the ambition of approximately 400 new houses per year. Karres en Brands is collaborating in a team with SITE Urban Development and Witteveen+Bos.
Kampen Zuidwest will be a new part of the city with space for 2100 - 2500 houses in small-scale residential environments. City councilor Jan Peter van der Sluis: "Kampen’s development in the southwest region is already in full swing. The new village of Reeve is being built and in ‘Het Onderdijks’ are the last homes under construction. However, for the largest part of the southwest region there are no concrete plans and the region is lacking an integral overarching area vision. Now, is the time to take the next steps in the further development of the area, with space for nature, recreation, housing, connecting facilities and infrastructure." Meanwhile, the process has started and together with the consortium, the municipality, and residents we will develop a vision for the area in the coming months.
Consortium De Dijken consists of BPD | Bouwfonds Gebiedsontwikkeling, Bemog Projektontwikkeling BV and Mateboer Projectontwikkeling BV.
