Team Karres en Brands, BSV, Metabolic & OWL - University of East Westphalia-Lippe are selected to design a vision of a former British military base in Paderborn Germany.

Next to two other teams (ADEPT with Buro Happold & steg Hamburg and Cityförster with Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners, Transsolar KlimaEngineering and Burkhard Horn Mobilitätskonzeptionen) we will develop different scenarios for the conversion of the 54 hectares former Barker barracks into a new neighborhood with a variety of “city experiences” in Paderborn.

Besides the overarching assignment, every team received a specific specialization to fully exploit the advantages of a test plan procedure. Our team will focus on the interplay between city and landscape and how a landscape-based approach can strengthen urban areas.
