This month jury member Lieneke van Campen gave a laudation to the winning project Botanical Garden Barcelona during the award ceremony of the European Garden Award 2019 in the category ‘Innovative contemporary design of a park or garden’. The project is particularly praised for its strong coherent design, which 20 years after construction still looks great. 

The European Garden Award is a combined prize of the het European Garden Heritage Network (EGHN) en de Schloss Dyck Foundation, sponsored by arboriculturist Lorenz von Ehren and awarded on Schloss Dyck in Jüchen (DE).
