Commissioned by SWZ, Karres en Brands made the urban design of the masterplan. In collaboration with a great team of people from SWZ, Pauwert and Clicktet, we developed the masterplan into the preliminary design. To develop the design of this very complex assignment in such an integral way, was a great achievement of the whole team.

‘Creating a unique neighborhood where everyone will want to live, a neighborhood that is integrated into nature and stimulates social cohesion with the inhabitants in the surrounding neighborhoods, where employees and clients are able to get the best out of each other and have fun’. This was the assignment that SWZ asked Karres en Brands at the start of the development of the masterplan of Zonhove, located in Son. SWZ-Zonhove offers children and adults with (severe) multiple or physical disabilities a place to live, work, learn and play in a caring and safe environment for all ages.
